We have entered a new age of responsibility - we see clearly that the way we live matters, in small and very big ways. This can be overwhelming and yet, the only place to start is close in. At the first, simplest thing.

bridging the practical & the spiritual

You can find out more about the work — self-compassion, animism, ceremony and more good stuff — by tuning into this fantastic conversation I had with Nicole Lohse on The Experiential Podcast.

Participating in ritual and ceremony is not just about self -care, it’s also about community care and land care, which honours the very real and present non-human beings of the place we live.

get unstuck

Old narratives hang on only as long as we invest in them. Shake loose those narratives that are weighing you down through embodiment practices, ritual, and resonance.

illusions revealed
truth remembered

The systemic harm that hides in broad daylight around us and in shadowy places within us must be revealed and challenged. Systems such as racism, colonialism, white supremacy, patriarchy, poverty and many more, contribute to the challenges we are dealing with, and must be dismantled in order to live the true narrative of your unique expression as a human being, in freedom and radiance.

permission given

To explore our own experience without judgement or fixing can be a radical act. I believe that this acceptance is the first act of compassion. From compassion peace arises and from peace our brilliance is born.

I am here to give you permission to step into radical magnificence.

This work rests at the intersection of spirituality, creativity and embodiment.

what is somatic therapy?

Relational somatic therapy is a style of counselling that skillfully integrates body awareness, neuroscience, attachment theory, and an understanding of the nervous system to support growth and change. Compatible with any life issue or challenge, the strength of somatic therapy lies in its ability to access information, insight, perspective, and healing directly from the body; to contact the wisdom and awareness that is often hidden in cognitive conversation. It is an approach that creates change as a felt experience rather than just a cognitive one. This allows for embodied learning, which in turn, encourages a greater potential for sustainable change and stability. I also integrate ‘parts work’ into my sessions and courses. I am currently teaching classes converging somatic practices into creative work, to enliven, enrich, and inform peoples writing and artistic endeavors. There is much to be explored and developed in this field and I am truly inspired and exited by what I am discovering.

Therapy should be in service of Joy. I am dedicated to this. It doesn’t mean that we avoid the hard stuff.. in fact, people who work with me know that we will not be doing any bypassing.

The hard territory we move through will be a pilgrimage to inner landscapes of contentment and joy, of embodiment and belonging.

what is animism?

Animism is a spiritual way of living based in mysticism, healing, and folk medicine. It is a path of spiritual ecology that reconnects us with the sacred nature of creation, and empowers us to take our seat in the healing of our planet.” - Angela Prider

For those who are interested in bridging the gap between the practical and the spiritual, animism offers a way forward. Reconnect with your ancestral, natural, human and non-human animal communities, and remember that everything is alive and interconnected. We belong to nature, it does not belong to us. This reconnection often facilitates healing as illness can arise in the context of disconnection. Through these connections, one can learn to recognize - or sharpen their recognition of - systemic harm, which is part of finding our way back to belonging to ourselves and each other.

We don't have to add anything

to ourselves to be more ourselves.

We only have to shuck what

the world puts on us. Peel back

the layers to our heart's fruit.
