Valentine’s Day has always been meaningful to me. I love love in its many forms. ⠀

Some years it’s been a challenge for me not to get caught up in the feeling of not having the kind of love I wanted rather than focus on the love that was there. Partnership hasn’t been the easiest road for me but I am blessed to the moon and back with friends and family. We all live in a different constellation of love and pain. ⠀

Ultimately over the years the thanks I make on this day has become simple and close in. I tell people I love them, and perhaps find ways to celebrate. I give thanks for the elements that love me so much my life is made of them. And I take a moment to recommit to being kind and loving towards myself. ⠀

Learning to see the profound gift of our ultimate mother ~the earth’s Iove ~ is something I believe we all know how to do somewhere deep down in our bones. ⠀
